Loved reading about this new woman, sometimes brash ,contrary, as wiley and vindictive as a man,definitely learning to play the game. sometimes it backfires, sometimes they are caught in the traditional versus the new values. All the women were interesting. Each was a little bit of Zelda as F. Scott sought to understand her. The southern woman puzzled him too.Product details

I have always loved the work of F. Scott Fitzgerald and this book is a wonderful addition to my collection.
The writing style is dated if I dare say that but a great read and wonderful step back in time.
I love short stories; it is an art. These are well written but like other literature by F. Scott Fitzgerald, I find so many characters unlikeable.
I loved the presentation of the stories as they originally appeared in the SEP. I hope the book does well enough to motivate the publishers to print more of Mr. Fitzgerald's stories like this.
I am enjoying this book, very much like reading about this era. F. Scott Fitzgerald is a favorite, I would recommend it to those who enjoy the same.
the short stories are just enjoyable. Fitzgerald has always been one of my favorite writers. Its unbeleivable that so many of these stories have been made into movies. I've been watching them after I read the stories
I became a bit bored with the shallow characters after a bit of reading. It was interesting to see how the author's mind took a similar theme (much like Jane Austin!) and beat it to death.. It is certainly a cultural situation since my day growing up on Betty Friedan and the then new women's movement! Interesting to go through his early magazine stories, but his Great Gatsby was certainly the height of his state if mind being transferred to his writing. Interesting in that respect.
